A whine will occur in driving is usualy coased by excessive clearance caused from excessive gear wear and or by a damaged tooth on the coast side of one or more of the teeth on the ring gear,even a small nick on the ridge on the edge of the gear is enough to cause the noise.

This condition can be corrected by cleaning the nick on the gear with a smalll grinding wheel or if too badly damaged the gear must be replaced And make sure to remove all particles from the housing so not to damage gear in the future.

A bearing noise sounds of a high piched sound simular as a whistle .It usualy occures from the malfunctioning of the pinion bearings! Peugeot debuts its 907 high-powered coupe

When I stop and think about some of those European brands that we never get to enjoy here in North America -- like Citroen and Renault -- I get conflicted. On the one hand, I can envision the fuel-sipping, slow-as-mud city dwellers doing their daily rounds. On the other hand, images of off-road rally driving come to mind, with wild jumps and all-wheel-drive. The new 907 coupe concept fits neither of these stereotypes. "Peugeot's swoopy coupe concept", as Top Gear put it, bears a closer resemblance to some of the highest powered roadsters and coupes on the market, getting right in line with the likes of AMG'd out Mercedes and the like. The 6.0-litre V12 found in the Peugeot 907 is capable of developing 500 horsepower. Mercedes AMG has announced a special version of the SLK 55 AMG that features not only an even more powerful engine (400 Hp/520 Nm) but an extensively lightened chassis and bodywork with a carbon-fibre roof. The performance improvements give the car considerably improved acceleration times of zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds (standard vehicle: 4.9 secs.)and zero to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 15.5 seconds (standard vehicle: 17.5 secs). The car is only available as a fixed-head, the power roof mechanism having been removed. The new car also features 19-inch AMG forged wheels, AMG height-adjustable torsion sports suspension and an AMG high-performance composite brake system. From a visual standpoint, it's a wide, stocky and low slung machine. THE US owner of an exotic, 12-cylinder Mercedes has sued its maker for a $US1.7 million ($2.31 million) refund on "the world's most expensive lemon". Mark Johnston bought the Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK-GTR roadster, one of only five produced and the one in North America, in 2003. The Guinness Book of World Records lists the car as the most expensive production vehicle made.
